Deana Strunk is a prominent figure in the energy industry with over 40 years of experience, making a name for herself as the owner of Amshore Renewable Energy, a company that specializes in developing sustainable energy solutions for utility companies and independent power producers. Amshore has been responsible for originating and developing solar and wind energy facilities that generate 2.9 gigawatts of power, covering over a half a million acres. She is also the owner of Amshore Ventures LLC.
Prior to her career in the energy industry, Deana worked in the legal, transportation, and banking industries, acquiring a broad range of skills and experiences that have helped her excel in her current role. She then went on to become Vice President and Director at American Shoreline, Inc., an oil and gas exploration and development company established in 1979, before co-founding Amshore Renewable Energy.

Tylan Shelton is Vice President, Development at Amshore Renewable Energy. He is responsible for the full range of activities in developing commercial-scale solar, wind and battery projects throughout the United States. Tylan has the overall responsibility for managing delivery of projects as well as assisting senior leadership with project financing and transactions. Business Development is a key part of Tylan’s role to ensure new development opportunities are identified in target areas of the market.
Tylan has been in the Wind Industry since 2006 and has been involved with the construction, development, repower and or asset management of over 3 gigawatts of renewable energy projects. He was the owner and President of Big Sky Wind Energy Inc. from 2009 to 2020.
Tylan attended the School of Architecture at the University of New Mexico and the Wind Energy program at Amarillo College. He later sat on the Advisory Board for the AC Wind Energy program and was on the Board of Directors of the Class 4 Winds Trade Organization. Tylan has been a speaker or panelist at dozens of landowner meetings, commissioner hearings, school board meetings, college campuses and community forums
Andrew Jeffreys is a Project Developer at Amshore Renewable Energy. He is responsible for the full range of activities in developing commercial-scale solar, wind and battery projects throughout the United States. He is an accomplished entrepreneur and sustainability expert, with a long-standing passion for developing renewable energy projects. With over 20 years of experience in the construction industry and a Bachelor of Science in Wind Science and Engineering from Texas Tech University, Andrew has been at the forefront of developing wind and solar energy projects in Texas and New Mexico. At Amshore, he helps drive the development of renewable energy projects and ensure their successful completion.
Aida Guzman is Associate Project Developer at Amshore Renewable Energy.
She has more than 35 years of experience. Aida manages Amshore real estate contracts for development projects including processing of lease procurements, rental/easement agreement payments and support landowner relations and conveyance of real estate documentation to landowners. She also supports with title review and curative efforts and supports the team with specific legislative and public relations campaigns, efforts and due diligence. She provides additional support with lease/project mapping, recordation of documents in various counties and title search support.
Aida studied legal at Del Mar College. She is an active member of the local Desk and Derrick Club of Corpus Christi, Texas.
John C. Heymann is Development Advisor at Amshore Renewable Energy. He was previously Chief Operating Officer overseeing the company’s general development operations.
He began his career in 1975 at Pennzoil Producing Company in Houston, Texas, analyzing and summarizing oil and gas leases purchased by the company, covering lands in the State of Texas. Later, in 1976 he went to work as a landman for a public drilling fund company, Centura, Inc., and subsequently, American Shoreline, Inc. where he ran title, purchasing and administering oil and gas leases for the company. John eventually became the Land Manager and Executive Vice President of Operations for American Shoreline, Inc. where he oversaw all aspects of the exploration and production operations of the company ranging from buying oil and gas leases to selling production from those leases to pipelines and end users.
John has a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and a master’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Texas at Austin with a concentration in finance and accounting. He also graduated from the University of Texas School of Law in 1988. John was licensed to practice law in Texas on May 5, 1989, and has been Board Certified in Oil, Gas and Energy Law since December of 1995.
Scott Casterline is President & Chief Ventures Officer of Amshore Ventures LLC. Amshore Ventures is focused on capitalizing on the tremendous opportunity in renewable energy development by seeking out new business models and growth opportunities.
Scott has run businesses for more than 30 years with a special focus in contract negotiation, client and career management, legal and other areas of business leadership.
Scott received his bachelor’s in business administration (BBA) with a major in finance from Baylor University.
Mark Ward is a Managing Director at Amshore Renewable Energy, where he is responsible for developing and executing growth strategies for the company, including the integration of innovative technologies like artificial intelligence and energy storage.
He has over 35 years of experience in the power and energy sectors, including senior management positions for private equity, independent power producers, investor-owned utilities, and engineering and construction firms. Mark’s experience includes business and strategy development, project management, mergers and acquisitions, asset management, and generation planning. Throughout his career, he has planned, developed, constructed, acquired/sold, financed, and managed over 10,000 megawatts of coal, coal gasification, natural gas, wind, solar, and waste-to-energy assets valued at nearly $11 billion. Prior to joining Amshore, Mark was Director of Renewables at Tampa Electric Company, managing the company’s solar program valued at over $1.7 billion. He also founded the Global Sustainable Energy Group LLC and Mesa Power Group with T. Boone Pickens.
Mark holds a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Alabama in Huntsville and has continued his education with postgraduate studies in engineering management and engineering optics.
Cas Purdy is Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) at Amshore Renewable Energy. As part of the senior leadership team, he is responsible for maximizing the company’s operating performance and helping achieve corporate objectives. Cas has a broad range of responsibilities including strategic planning, finance, legal, human resources, information technology, marketing, communications and more.
He has 20+ years of experience in business leadership focused on strategic planning, growth initiatives, corporate operations, marketing and communications. Previously, he was Vice President and Head of Marketing at cybersecurity leader Trustwave. During his tenure there, he and his team drove brand awareness and pipeline creation for the company resulting in growth and an eventual $850M acquisition by Singapore’s leading telco provider Singtel. He also held leadership roles at IBM, Websense (now Forcepoint) and Guidance Software (now part of OpenText).
He received his bachelor’s degree in Public Relations from the University of Texas at Austin, and he studied French at the University of Paris (La Sorbonne).
